From Bakersfield

Take CA-178 E to Lake Isabella.
Take exit 43 from CA-178 E
Then Continue on CA-155 W.
Take Burlando Rd and Sierra Way to Mountain Hwy 99
Once you past Sierra Gateway Market you have exactly 8.1 miles until you reach the camp on your left.

WHERE TO STOP ALONG THE WAY

If you’re coming from the LA Area you’ll travel through the Canyon on Route 178. There are abundant look outs there along the river, but note you will lose cell service for the 15 mile canyon road
